The Router Advertisements Server is active on this interface and it can be used only with a static IPv6 configuration. Please disable the Router Advertisements Server service on this interface first, then change the interface configuration.

    ...but I have IPv6 disabled!
    What do I do?
    Is this a bug?
    I am running pfSense 2.6.0

@octopuss That rings a bell...try enabling IPv6 temporarily, disabling RA, and disable IPv6 again.

Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, and device or disk speed.

        Ah ok. That makes sense.
But I think this should be automatically disabled when you disable IPv6, shouldn't it? I was very confused at first, because when I opened the RA service, it said The DHCPv6 Server can only be enabled on interfaces configured with a static IPv6 address. This system has none., and I never used IPv6 in the first place.

@octopuss That's what I was vaguely remembering...someone that had enabled it then disabled IPv6, or similar. I don't really recall the details.

I suppose another option would be to edit it out of the config .xml file and restore.
