Hello, new to the setup here.
I set up pfsense using basic config all the way around.
I now want to fix my pfsense IP.
I currently use DHCP, and the follow example address to access pfsense: 10.11.11.1:10443.

If I want to fix the IP for pfsense, can i just go under:
      Services / DHCP sever / 11_LAN
then at the bottom, "DHCP static Mapping for this interface".

      • add the MAC of pfsense ("Copy My MAC")
      • IP address: 10.11.11.1
      • Save.

Is it the correct way to do it?
      Thank you.

You have to configure the IP in Interfaces > Assignments. Open the concerned interface settings, state "static" at IP configuration type and state an IP below.
If it's the WAN you have also to state an upstream gateway.

pfSense itself must already have a static IP address on that interface. The DHCP server would not be able to run there if it didn't.

The 'Copy my MAC' function there is the MAC for client you're accessing the gui from, not the pfSense MAC.
