I need to load balance some services that have TCP/UDP.

I have read that one can use UDP with haproxy but am having a hard time confirming how it can be done as there aren't many posts about it.

Someone suggested using an alias and entering that into the front end Port setting but type only has https and tcp.

From all that I've found, I suspect there is no way of doing this.
