Besides the NICs for LAN and DMZ, there are two NICs connected to two routers with two providers assigning two static public IPs.
The configuration includes balancing and failover.

      • Gateway of WAN-1 monitors 208.67.220.220
      • The WAN-2 Gateway monitors 208.67.222.222
      • The Default Gateway is automatic.

In General Setup the following DNS are assigned

      • 8.8.8.8 to WAN1-GW
      • 8.8.4.4 to WAN2-GW
      • DNS Resolution Behavior: Use local DNS (127.0.0.1), fall back to remote DNS Servers (Default)

This morning, for a reason I don't know, the lines were Up, but Internet browsing was not possible.
From the PC the PING to 8.8.8.8 didn't work either.
Yet the connectivity was there, so much so that I remotely connected to PCs in the LAN.
So the problem was confined to DNS, but I didn't understand why, nor how to fix it.
Probably the problem arose from the central provider of WAN1 and that following our reports has solved it, but for several hours no one was able to navigate with a browser.

Do not state gateways here for these DNS servers.
The gateway settings are optional and is only meant for DNS server, which are exclusively accessible through a certain gateway, e.g. the DNS server of the ISP.

Maybe I didn't explain myself well or I didn't understand your answer.

          In Interfaces

          • WAN1 has the gateway to Router1's NIC
          • WAN2 has the gateway to Router2's NIC

Then in Routing / Gateways the two gateways have the monitor of the two OpenDNS.

In General Setup I then set the two Google DNS, separating them on GW1 and GW2 because it is reported "... When using multiple WAN connections there should be at least one unique DNS server per gateway."

I don't understand what should I do? Add the ISP's DNS and associate them with the two Gateways?
Or leave the two Google DNS without associating them to the Gateways?

            Exactly this one.
