        You have a crash report?

        Where is it stopping and asking for a login?

            Ok, that's almost always because you have an OpenVPN client configured to use password auth but don't have one set. Much less often it's because you have a password secured cert/key in use.

              Stephen,

              Thank you for responding, what do you mean by this "OpenVPN client configured to use password auth but don't have one set", I am having hard time to find this information in Pfsense. However, checked most of the openvpn users and all are configured with password.

                Stephen,

                Stephen,

                Are you referring openvpn client config? I do see one user is created and that's where the password is empty.. that what is the issue when booting its asking for sync password

                  Yes. The password must be stated and saved.
                  If you don't want to save it check "Do not retry connection when authentication fails".

                    @viragomann

                    Yes, that's what the issue was..

                    Thank you very much..

                    With reference to pfsense crashing, its running on vmware vsan. Pfsense was reporting cam error frequently, I have seen these errors in old version but pfsense never crash or impact. But with latest version 2.6.0 its giving cam error and crashing the OS. I also checked with Vmware and they said you need to vSAN is designed to work best with 4k aligned I/O (4k, 8k, 16k, 32k, 64k, etc) from guests. When I/O is not aligned to a 4k size additional operations are required at the vSAN layer before the write is completed. This adds time (latency) as these operations are completed. At this time the resolution is to set the application or operating system to use 4k aligned I/O.

                    I am trying to figure out how can I align pfsene to 4k, any input on this appreciated.

                      Another common mistake here is to create an OpenVPN client on the Client tab there where none are needed.
                      That tab is only for creating a client connection from the firewall itself to a different external server. If you only have the server on the firewall with remote access clients using it you should disable the client config entirely.
