    Hi for every one, my issue is...I have a box with 2 LAN´s ( Lan and opt1) and i have to reach since opt1 an a NAS server i have into LAN .... the idea is, reach and using folder via explorer files into windows... i´ll explain better.

    my server into lan say it 192.168.2.10

    and on my other LAN(Opt1) used for (invited network) 172.16.2.X

    they can use the folder files lik usb into lan network

    pd at this time i get it using http but is ugly and too slowly vbetter i want to use like USB files ( i think netbios windows)...

    any idea ?

      It sounds like you want to be able browse to the NAS that's on LAN from clients on the OPT1 subnet. So discover them in Windows?
      That won't happen since that sort of discovery is usually limited to the same subnet.

      But you should be able to access those resources by IP or hostname as long as you have firewall rules on OPT1 to allow it.

        On top of that tip from @stephenw10 you should be able to set up also the following things;

        • Create a user for each device and user that should be connect to the NAS
        • According to that users set up user Privilegs to the files and folders on that NAS
        • Set up on the PCs shortcuts to that NAS folders.

        If you are using LDAP and/or Radius don´t forget to sort
        all users/PCs with an certificate and/or set up the machines
        correctly in the LDAP role

        Either working with VLANs and/or plain routing you must
        set up firewall ruiles on the pfSense according to both
        subnets or on the Switch you are using the right
        matching ACLs.
