Thanks in advanced, I have a Netgate 2100 and when I attempt to search for packages to install there are none to be found. I have ran an update of the system from the main dashboard, but the system shows current with no updates. I attempted to console in to get better data and found this issue.

From the console I performed option 13:
Migrating /var/cache/pkg to ZFS dataset pfSense/ROOT/default/var_cache_pkg... done.

Creating automatic rollback boot environment... done.
    Updating repositories metadata...
    Updating pfSense-core repository catalogue...

    Error updating repositories!
    Upgrading pfSense-upgrade... failed.
Netgate 2100 Netgate Device ID: removedforsecurity

I navigated via a browser to find the file missing and i get a certificate error.

    Any assistance would be grateful.

@joebpa what version are you on? If 22.05 ensure you’ve selected the Previous Stable version branch. You don’t want to be installing for 23.01 if you have an earlier version.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

        Steve,
Thanks for your help. I did not have any option to choose. During the initial install it performed an update automatically. I don't recall seeing any options for versions.

I just double checked my version here is what I have running:
        22.05.1-releease (arm64)
        built tues dec 6, 15:43.34 UTC 2022
        FreeBSD 12.3-stable

I do now see a update available for 23.01. This was not showing yesterday.

        Thanks in advanced Joe
