Need 23.01 software for Netgate 2100 & 7100

Hi, can you please provide me the update for the Netgate 2100 & 7100? The current locations, with these units, have 22.05 installed using UFS and I would like to update to 23.01. As I understand, I need to change the file system to ZFS for the new update.

You don't need to switch to ZFS though. 23.01 will run just fine as UFS, you can just upgrade in place. But having the install images available is always a good idea anyway.

@stephenw10 Oh ok. I think it would be better to move to ZFS just for the snapshots alone but its good to know I dont have too.

I kind of read past this/misinterpreted your question. ZFS is not required for 23.01. There was a bug/issue/problem with older shipments of 1100 and 2100 where the original (800kb) EFI partition was too small for FreeBSD 14. The way to fix that is to reinstall with a 23.01 image which also happens to use ZFS after it overwrites the disk. That's not an issue on the 7100 or other models.

@csardoss I have a 2100 I moved to ZFS I had to open a ticket with TAC to get the firmware emailed to me. As long as your serial number and stuff matches up they will let you have the software for the firewall.
