      My first pfsense setup

      using latest pfsense (2.6.0)
      current 1 LAN & 1 WAN port (ISP1)
      site to site VPN - transparent tunnel - same IP segments on both sites - 172.16.x.x
      openVPN device mode = 'tap - Layer 2 Tap Mode'
      created a transparent openVPN bridge with SSL/TLS certs

      • working in the lab

      now to setup a voip traffic shaper guaranteed limit of 2MB across the VPN
      company internal voip - no voip/sip to external sites
      can't seem to do this on the VPN since the VPN is not an 'ALTQ' nic

      • or am I thinking wrong and need to set traffic shaping differently

      Note: later to add a second WAN port ISP2 for WAN failover
      Note: later to add a second pfsense unit at each site for HA

      Any suggestions on how to best guarantee VOIP traffic across the transparent VPN?

        @johngoutbeck

        So NO answer.

        Does this mean traffic shaping cannot be done for a transparent tunnel?
