      Hello,

after updating form pfsense+ 22.05 to 23.01 my Netgate 7100 1U is no longer eligible for future updates.
It is an original Netgate box with an original Netgate ID. No hardware changes.

      Under Updates it's telling me:
"Your device has not been registered for pfSense+. Please purchase a pfSense+ subscription..."

      What can I do?

      BR, Ulli.

@ulki I've seen this a few times here but usually for CE upgrades to Plus or someone adding a NIC. I'd open a ticket at https://www.netgate.com/tac-support-request so they can look at the NDI. If it wasn't the original ID, it would/could change if hardware is added or removed, so kinda odd to "break" on its own.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

@steveits The only hardware change I have made is to replace the SFP 1GBe fiber transceiver with a SFP+ 10GBe fiber transceiver. Can this change the NDI?

The issue has been resolved VERY quickly by a competent member of the Netgate TAC support team. Many thanks at this point!

SteveITS was right about the hardware changes.

The problem was that I bought the 7100 box from a German distributor and ordered an additional 4x1GBe PCIe card. This card was installed by the distributor, so the NDI changed. The distributor did not re-register the box with the new NDI before shipping it to me.
Since this was the first software update for this box, the problem surfaced now.

Thanks again for the help on this forum and to the TAC support team!

            BR, Ulli.
