View current configuration

How to view the current configuration from via the serial port Console. I've see there is an option 15 "Restore recent configuration" but I see no option for viewing the current or even any of the "recent" configurations.
I ask this because I have an operational network with a router and I'd like add the Netgate 1100 router to the network without it interfering with my current setup. I actually done this, I used the console to change the LAN port from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2 as my current router is a 192.168.1.1. And added the 1100 into my network using LAN port. I validated I could see the Web GUI at 192.168.1.2 but I'm hesitant to leave it plugged in as I don't want it to anything untoward to my network, such as starting a DHCP server.
Thanks in advance!

@winksaville select Option 15 and you will be presented with a list of configuration to choose from.

You can disable the DHCP server on LAN but it's on by default.
Configs can be downloaded as XML via Diagnostics/Backup.

@tedquade I did that and was presented with 11 configurations, but I can't see what the configurations are :(

@steveits can I disable it from the console? And I'd sure like to see what else is enable and disable it before attaching it to my network!

Out of the box it has any any rule on lan.. And sure it would be dhcp server if you tell it too when you set it up.
What else do you think it could do to your network?

Then I recommend using that to disable the DHCP server on LAN. Whilst it's possible to hand edit the config etc, pfSense is intended to be primarily managed via the webgui.

@stephenw10 the path I'm pursuing is to experiment outside of my main network using a couple laptops.
Txs all the help and advice!
