How to configure pfSense to act as a simple router with dual WAN and static routing

Dear Users,
some weeks ago, I configured a test pfSense instance to act as a simple router to manage a dual WAN scenario with BGP protocol.
It was working, but, surprise, my boss asked me to change from dynamic routing to static routing.Could you please help me to configure pfSense with two WAN interfaces and static routing? ISP told us that, using static routing, we can set primary/secondary linkl priority using "some metrics". From the pfSense perspective, what the ISP is talking about?

Mmm, you should use dynamic routing unless there's some really good reason not to.
pfSense does not directly support route metrics like that. It can support policy routing with failover gateways. That can work as long as the other end replies back via the same route. Which it may not.

Maybe you will find some interesting informations about
the infos from your ISP, your boss said and the abilities
pfSense is offering you, that you will be getting it to work.
