      I upgraded a more-or-less freshly installed 2100 that was running 23.01 to 23.05 yesterday.

Only 1 package was installed (Wireguard) and no system patches.

Upon first login after the upgrade, I was greeted with a crash report "The firewall has encountered an error"

Crash report begins. Anonymous machine information:

      arm64
      14.0-CURRENT
      FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT #1 plus-RELENG_23_05-n256102-7cd3d043045: Mon May 22 15:31:56 UTC 2023 root@freebsd: /var/jenkins/workspace/pfSense-Plus-snapshots-23_05-main/obj/aarch64/x3UPdyyG/var/jenkins/workspace/pfSense-Plus-snapshots-23_05-main/sources/Free

      Crash report details:

      No PHP errors found.

      No FreeBSD crash data found.

No issues after dismissing it, but not sure if that was supposed to happen. Google didn't turn up much but I found a really old Redmine issue and some assorted threads in the forums here.

You probably caught it before the upgrade was actually done in the background. There are known/expected PHP errors that happen during upgrades when PHP changes. They are unavoidable, so we wipe the errors at the end of the upgrade process.

So likely between the time you saw the crash reporter link and actually clicked it, the log was wiped so there was really nothing to report.

It's only a concern if the errors happen on subsequent boots.
