After a few months of configuring and using two pfsense with "AliEx..." hardware, one for use at home and the other in a drawer as a backup (which saved me when I had a problem with the SSD of the first one).

Wanting to help "finance" the development of pfsense, I bought a Netgate 8200, which also has 16 Gb of memory and a 128 Gb disk like my other boxes (well, the Netgate is much, much more expensive, more than twice the price of my two boxes combined).

Installation was very easy, thanks to my backup of my old box.

My question is as follows: on my old boxes, I had a "beep" at boot and login, whereas on my 8200 I hear nothing, is this normal? I imagine that for the price there's no HP?

      Thanks for your advice

I started with two "no-name" pfsense, one for use at home and the other as a backup in case of problems (which can happen when you're new to pfsense).
      ... And now I'm living with a Netgate 8200
... And sorry for my bad English...

There is no piezo speaker on that family of devices, they have a set of LED indicators for status.

It's a shame, the "beep" was interesting for various reasons.

          Thanks for your reply ;-)
