Have you ever experienced a situation where, after completing the setup, you woke up in the morning and couldn't connect to PFSense?

Have you experienced a similar situation where you were continuously targeted by a cracker on Twitter, and there was an implied suggestion of death online? After reinstalling Windows 11 and PFSense, and performing the initial setup (including replacing DNS with DNSSEC communication), this morning, I found myself unable to connect to the internet.
I couldn't even access the 192.168.1.1 management interface. I had no choice but to restart the power, and then I was able to connect to the internet again. Has anyone else had a similar experience where, the day after completing the setup, they woke up to find that they couldn't connect to PFSense itself?

If pfSense stops responding on the default LAN IP it's usually because there is some sort of local conflict, like something else using the IP.
If it happens again check the console output. Make sure it still shows that IP for LAN. Make sure it's responding at the console.

@stephenw10 Thank you. Even if there is only one PC connected to PFsense, can IP address conflict still occur?
I experienced a similar issue before, but it has been working fine since then.
If the same problem occurs after reinstalling PFsense, I would like to check it using console connection and refer to the manual. -
You could still see a subnet conflict with the WAN. If your upstream device lost connectivity and defaulted to the same subnet pfSense is using on the LAN for example.

@stephenw10 Thank you. I actually have PFSense connected to a mobile WiFi router (with the WiFi function turned off), and on the PFSense side, I have it set to obtain an IP address automatically through DHCP instead of assigning a static IP address. There may be other factors involved, but I want to try setting a static IP address and see how it goes.

@Yet_learningPFSense You mentioned about console connectivity, but since my PFSense is a custom-built PC, it doesn't have a console port. However, I believe there might be some logs recorded at the time the issue occurred, so I would like to check them.

If you connect a screen and keyboard to the PC, then that will be the console

@Patch Thank you very much. I misunderstood that the official Netgate machines have a console port. I mistakenly thought that "console" referred to logging into the management interface using a LAN connection. I apologize for the confusion caused by my response.

No problem I should have been clearer. Yes, the console is however you operate directly on the firewall. So either a serial console, if the hardware has one, or the 'vga console', using a keybiard and monitor dircetly.
