      new install of 2.6 CE

      Hardware as follows

      i5 Gen 4 CPU
      8 GB RAM
Broadcom Xtreme 4 port NIC PCI-X (taken out of a HP Server)

Fresh install with no packages installed

      my broadband is 1 Gbit/s Up / 100 Mbit/s Down

Testing I only get 30 Mbit/s download but get the full 100 Mbit/s upload

I have disabled all hardware offload
      did another install
      swapped out network cables
Laptop is hard wired into a 1GB switch and Windows detects NIC connected to 1GBit
Interface on WAN and LAN on pfsense is detected at 1Gbit

      Any ideas

        Actually PCI-X?

Very unsual these days. But should still pass way more than that.

Do you see errors on either interface in WAN or LAN?

        How are you testing?

I assume you mean 1G down and 100M up? Have you confirmed that by connecting directly?
