      Hello fellow Netgate community members,

      What wireless daughter cards are supported by the 2100 if you are using the MAX?

      1x M.2 'B' key sockets (SSD, LTE)
      1x miniPCIe (WiFi)
      microSIM slot

      What miniPCIe is recommended?

        The only card that I know works is the Compex WLE200NX:

        [23.05.1-RELEASE][admin@2100-2.stevew.lan]/root: pciconf -lv
        ath0@pci0:0:0:0:	class=0x028000 rev=0x01 hdr=0x00 vendor=0x168c device=0x002a subvendor=0x168c subdevice=0x3099
            vendor     = 'Qualcomm Atheros'
            device     = 'AR928X Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express)'
            class      = network

        [23.05.1-RELEASE][admin@2100-2.stevew.lan]/root: ifconfig ath0_wlan0
        ath0_wlan0: flags=8c43<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,OACTIVE,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500
        	description: OPT1

        	status: no carrier
        	nd6 options=21<PERFORMNUD,AUTO_LINKLOCAL>

        Many cards won't work in the 2100 due to a low level compatibility issue in the PCIe bus.

        Steve

            @stephenw10 is it plug and play and I start configuration or does it require fresh firmware after I install it?

              No need to re-install if you have a compatible card. It will appear as an available parent in the wireless interfaces.

                  @stephenw10 Thanks, it is up and running, I just have to configure it now.

                  Check it out.

                  WLAN!!!

                  Can I use the LAN's subnet and just change/disable the LAN interface? I only had my AP plugged into it.

                  That way I can clone the old APs SSID so the clients have no changes needed?

                      I found how to do it. I just changed the interface assignment for LAN to the card and everything works. I have connections and internet and proxy activity over the WiFi card you recommend thank you.
