        As pfSense is a firewall and not a full system, utilities like make are not included. If you must install software by hand, which is not recommended nor supported, use precompiled packages or install pfSense from a developer ISO.

          Ok, it's clear.

          For my release:

          FreeBSD pfsense2.local 7.0-RELEASE-p8 FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE-p8

          What precompiled package must I use for it?

          package 7 or package 8 ?

          Thank you

            Packages for 7.0, or in some cases, 7-STABLE.
