Unifortunately I now have a huge problem. I stopped my Windows DHCP server and started the pfSense DHCP server. It does not offer leases however, and as a result only devices statically connected are online, and no dynamic clients can connect. Here is the conf. I cannot see what's wrong wiht it. I tried to return to the Windows DHCP server, but now it does not give leases either. No hardware changes were made! This is crazy...

Just to be sure : LAN interface settings ?
        LAN firewall rules ?
If not empty : floating rules ?
What does the DHCP log shows ?
When you packet capture DHCP traffic on LAN, what shows up ?

Also : your LAN is a 65000+ size network ?

Edit : and where are the logs ??

@Gertjan thanks! I found the issue! The dhcpd.conf file had errors, and the daemon would not start. Many thanks!!!

(I used this to migrate my static addresses, but be careful: it doesn't check syntax and I ended up with a bad XML file)

You mean this one had red indications ?
edit : the DHCP log file would (should) have shown 'issues'.
