      Hi

Motorola MB8600 Cable modem has a feature that if you enable it you can use port bonding through Two LAN ports .. I have a Netgate 7100 device and I believe my setup is right but the problem is that if I change the LAGG setting from LOADBALANCE to LACP, I will loss my connectivity !

I don't know how it is working now but even in this situation I am experiencing much faster Internet speed than before!

My Internet speed is Gigabit and this is the speed I get with WIFI-6E now ( with cable it is a bit more faster ).

@BlackH0le Don't change the LACP setting of the LAGG on your 7100 if you want to use your Switch.

It's a switch of 2 LAGG'd controllers -- changing it will result in a broken system. If you want to do LACP on your 7100 you need to either use the SFP+ ports (with a fiber transceiver only) or add a NIC. The 8 switch ports are not discrete ports.

Are you certain that the MB8600 actually supports LACP (as opposed to static LAG) in the first place? LACP doesn’t really provide any benefits if the devices are connected directly (i.e., no. media converters or such in between); why are you looking to enable it?

Also, regardless of LACP, unless your speed test uses multiple TCP connections, link aggregation will not give you better bandwidth — an individual stream will always be routed over exactly one link in the aggregation group.
