      Hi there,

      I am relatively new to PfSense and noticed that even though it is based of FreeBSD there are some limitations. For example, there is no FreeBSD Ports collection for me to be able to "make clean install" /usr/ports/net/mpd5 as per https://dnaeon.github.io/installing-and-configuring-a-pptp-server-with-mpd5-on-freebsd/

      The /etc/rc.conf file is also deprecated but even making use of /etc/rc.conf.local (which PfSense leaves alone) or adding lines to /etc/defaults/rc.conf does not enable the daemon on startup.

      The service works fine when manually enabling it :)

      Lines I want added:

      # Enable mpd5 daemon
      mpd_enable="YES"
      mpd_flags="-b -s ppp"

      If there is any possibility that someone could perhaps point me in the right direction I would highly appreciate it.

      Thanks.
