    As of systemd version 250, systemd-networkd always requests a delegated prefix when using DHCPv6, even if the client system is not a router. Delegation is requested even if the client uses the typical Linux default of sysctl net.ipv6.conf.all.forwarding=0 and is therefore incapable of routing IPv6.

    On my LAN I have a very small delegation pool, mainly to serve a test instance of pfSense. But now Linux clients have started hogging prefixes they'll never use.

    You can disable this behavior on each client (which you have to do separately for each individual interface, as far as I can tell), but this seems like a poor choice of defaults on the part of systemd.
