[Solved] TAC mails out of the blue...?
-
Hi,
does TAC have issues lately? For the past couple of weeks I get sporadic mails from them asking how my latest support was etc. Do you get these too?
-
@furom yeah seen them in the past - my "guess" was they were finally closing old tickets. I had requested images for new versions of my appliance when new versions came out, etc.
-
@johnpoz I replied to one and they said it was sent in error, some upgrade, but should not take weeks to fix, right?
-
@furom I just looked seems I got one on jul 20, and then another on july 22..
-
@johnpoz Yes, I was first a bit worried someone had had support for me somehow... But they declined that scenario at least :)
-
Almost certainly just closing out old tickets that slipped past the auto-close scripts for some reason. Could be Hubspot shenanigans!
-
@stephenw10 I was just so surprised as my impression of TAC is of the better kind. I'm not flooded or anything, so all good :)

@furom We have a lot of old tickets (from the first few months of using the new CRM platform) that did not auto-close and we (TAC staff) were instructed to close them a few months back. I only did mine a month ago and I know that the "feedback" emails come on a schedule based on that close - if there was not one sent it would send again.
I get them for internal IT-related tickets. Go figure.
That said they're not as {add your adjective here} as MicroCenter sending me feedback emails for things I purchased 60-180 days ago. I even got one last month for something I bought in 2019.

Thanks for this explanation! It clears it up better for me. I'm sorry to hear of the mails you get for ancient purchase, hope that has an end to it as well. Given your explanation, I should not receive that many more now then I suppose.
