      Hello,

I own a Netgate 4100 with pfSense latest.

That might be a very stupid question but I have never experimented with anything like that and I would like to know if I can use two LAN physical ports to create two completely separate networks, which can't talk to each other.

      How can I do that?

And is there a downside to do that?

      The context is:

I have an ISP modem providing WAN to my Netgate.

One of the LAN would be fore an office, hosting servers and work computer.

The other LAN would be for a bunch of appartments.

The appartements should have access to the internet and normal networking capabilities but definitely NOT have access to the office network.

      Thank you!

They are not switched ports so, yes, you can do that.
Just set a rule on each interface that says its LAN Net cannot talk to the other LAN Net.
