I've just switched to NUT from apsupsd as it looks more supported - but e-mail notifications aren't working - I know email is set up OK because other things play nice (and so did apsupsd) - I've ticked the box in NUT, but do I need some other settings?

I can see an old 2015 thread about this, but it says problem was fixed in 2016!

Do I still need to add these cmds in upsmon.conf

      NOTIFYFLAG ONBATT SYSLOG+WALL+EXEC

      cheers
      Paul

@Thondwe Changes in the last release of pfSense, designed to address the issue of email notifications repeating endlessly, have broken email notification for non root processes. This should be fixed in the next release of pfSense.

In the interim, you can run as root to address the issue. This is done by adding

        RUN_AS_USER root

in the Additional configuration lines for upsmon.conf section.

And no, you do not need or want the other lines show above in the upsmon.conf section.

@dennypage said in NUT and e-mail notification:

          RUN_AS_USER root

Brill thanks will give that a try
