Well... back at it again with a fresh server.
Picked up a SuperServer 5019D-FN8T and removed the 2x 1.92TB Samsung PM893s and replaced them with a single 500GB 970 EVO Plus. Drive is visible in BIOS and set as the main boot drive.

Of course prior to put into production I started to with the usual housekeeping items ( Updated to the latest BIOS, IPMI Firmware and so on ). Went on the official site and got a fresh copy of 2.7.0 and flashed with Rufus 4.2 to a 32GB Kingston USB stick which completed successfully.

Plugged the USB stick into the front of the server and fired it up. Goes through its normal boot process gets past the initial boot pfsense with the service menu then it halts...!

And I'm greeted with this prompt

It's late and I'm tired... looked around and didn't find anything that would make me go "aha"
A few threads do have mentioned Error 19 but none of them made sense too me.

A point of where I would start would be appreciated

If it ain't broken, fix it till it is :P

        Hi,
I believe I did use the memstick version of the installer with rufus. Did you try that one? :pfSense-CE-memstick-2.7.0-RELEASE-amd64.img.gz

I would try a different USB port; they seem to be ... weird on SuperMicro for some reason.

I just loaded PFSense on mine, after leaving Sophos UTM (been using that for over 20 years, their XG product is just stupid), and running great on my SuperMicro. I didn't get that error you did, but it didn't load the first time. Changing USB ports helped for me. It could also be a BIOS setting for your USB, check that too and make sure. I am using an older model (SYS-5018D-MF) with a Xeon in it.

If the BIOS settings are correct. I have found changing to a different brand USB stick will work. From some reason PfSenss would not boot on my scan disk usb ,but did on the first try with my sony usb stick.

You were able to boot it OK?

The error it showing is a failure to read the USB device so if not I'd try a different USB stick.

                  @stephenw10 Yes.

I was tired and downloaded the memstick installer. Downloaded the dvdiso and it all went smooth, not even a hiccup!

You don't need the last four.
If you're forwarding, double check DNS server 2 and 3, as these look like a black hole to me.
3 and 4 : ask what they do with your data.
If doubt : ditch them all.

Edit : and where are the logs ??
