              I changed the loader.conf with no better performance

              autoboot_delay="1"
              #kern.ipc.nmbclusters="0"
              hint.apic.0.disabled=1
              kern.hz=100
              #for squid
              kern.ipc.nmbclusters="32768"
              kern.maxfiles="65536"
              kern.maxfilesperproc="32768"
              net.inet.ip.portrange.last="65535"

                Do you have the webGUI running on HTTPS/443 instead of HTTP/80?

                    Try a clean install and then install the latest Squid package - not many people have been complaining about the slowness issues lately.  The empty loader.conf could be by default.  I haven't yet upgraded to 1.2.3, but the entries in loader.conf were decreasing even at the 1.2.2 release.

                      1.2.3 works great so far…  ;D
