      Hi!

I have an SG-1100 which is tired of life. Have ordered an SG-2100 to replace it with. Can I move my current configuration on the 1100 to the 2100?
For example - by exporting a backup from 1100 and then install to the 2100. Is this the way to do it - or are they not fully compatible (guess the ports might differ)?

Would like to be prepared when the new one arrives (and the old one is starting to melt)

      Thanks in advance!

Yes, you should be able to as long as you are only using WAN and LAN. You will have re-assign the interfaces in the gui when you do that but it should be simple.

If you need all three interfaces you would need some extra config for the switch in the 2100.

In either case if you open a ticket with us we can convert that config for you so it will import directly: https://www.netgate.com/tac-support-request
