      Hi all,

Is there a 128GB SSD SG-2100 Max coming and is it also coming to Europe?

Last week, sep 8th 2023, I ordered an SG-2100 Max in Belgium. It was advertised as having 32GB Storage.

Netgate says this on the US SG-2100 Base:
"Storage: 8 GB eMMC Flash onboard (or optional 32 GB M.2 SATA 2242 SSD)"

However, on the US SG-2100 Max page, Netgate says:
"Storage: 8 GB eMMC Flash onboard (or optional 128 GB M.2 SATA 2242 SSD)"

128GB? At the top of the page I see this:
      c49dc56c-a92d-4874-800e-07cadf2d2de5-image.png
which seems to confirm the 32GB SSD option has been upgraded to 128GB.

On a dutch reseller's web page I see:
      aec320b7-2176-4922-ba97-be0138a69f8c-image.png
And every Storage option they say is eMMC, not SSD:
      7cf184e8-7088-4f8f-b7f5-732889479d11-image.png

Finally, the unit I ordered supposedly also has 32GB eMMC storage, see here:
      b0d8ade8-9942-4063-997d-9545fe895949-image.png
which is probably just an error.

Bottom line is: I am confused.

Could some netgate representative shed some light on this?

      Questions:
#1 Is the 128GB storage option for the SG-2100 confirmed?
#2 Are both the 32GB and 128GB SG-2100 Max storage options in fact SSD type and not eMMC?
#3 Is the 128GB option coming to Europe?

      Thanks,

      Pete

@Cabledude As of a few weeks ago the MAX is 128GB.

Resellers that sell a "MEGA" is not one sold by us. The MAX was 32GB until early August.

Additionally the eMMC is 8GB, not 32GB. They are likely mislabeling.

I've requested this page be corrected, thank you for catching it.

            Hello Ryan,
Thank you for clearing that up. Highly appreciated.
You didn’t specifically mention what type of storage the SG-2100’s was and is. May I assume that the former 32GB and new 128GB are indeed SSD and not eMMC? And have always been?

            Thanks,

              It's an m.2 SATA SSD.

              The on-board eMMC is 8GB.

Thank you. That is quite reassuring. I will take appropriate action to correct and thus improve the Dutch resellers webpages.

Hi Ryan, I just took delivery of one of the first dutch SG-2100 128GB units. It's purring along at < 3% user util and so far no issues.

                  Thanks,
