        Try upgrading to 2.6 first.

If you're using new hardware I would just install 2.7 clean and restore your config. That will eliminate any upgrade issues.

You can just backup the config and restore it into the clean 2.7 install.

You can install the latest version and run the backup with another older version without affecting the base version

Yes, you can restore a config from 2.5.2 (or any older version) into 2.7.

Upgrade to 2.6 first. Set the repo to 2.5.2. Then run:

                              pkg-static clean -ay; pkg-static install -fy pkg pfSense-repo pfSense-upgrade

Then set tjhe repo to 2.6 and upgrade to that.

I tried the way you told me, and it worked without problems, but I need to know how to update from 2.5.2 to 2.7 directly without having to use a new installation

You have to go through 2.6. Use the instructions above to upgrade to that if you have tried to upgrade to 2.7 and failed.

You didn't set the repo branch to 2.5.2 first. So it just reinstalled the 2.7 pkgs.
