Im setting up a pfsense with 3 nic's:

      1 LAN
      2 WAN
      3 OPT1(WAN2)

      without load balancing.

My WAN interface is temporarly down, and LAN,OPT1 - up.
In diagnostic menu/ping i can ping only my OPT1 router (from interface - OPT1).
I cannot ping any of internet servers.
But from another internet address (another location) i can ping my OPT1 WAN ip

Visit the Pingpage in the gui and read the Note at the bottom:

Note:  Multi-wan is not supported from this utility currently.

Yes, it's normal. Connections from the pfSense will always go out the WAN as the default gateway is there unless you have some special routes to send them out to another gateway. Only connections flowwing THROUGH the pfSense can utilize policybased routing and/or loadbalancing.

          Thanks  :)
I thought , "Multi-wan is not supported", this mean necessity to select interface through ping

But pfsense ping IP OPT1 default router - this address isn't localy IP and is inaccessible through WAN interface …
And "monitored IP" - monitored (ping?) by pfsense, not through... ???
