I set up a new 7100. I have set up the interface on vlan 50 attached to lagg0 and set up ip address and I can ping across in and out. If I unplug port 2, which I was using to configure the firewall, I can no longer access through port 8. If I am consoled into the firewall I can ping out on the interface. The interface appears up on my switch as well as in the firewall. If I plug port 2 back in, which is on the default vlan and switch, it will permit access on port 8 again. Any help trying to resolve will be greatly appreciated.

Interfaces configured via the swicthed ports on the 7100 can be set to reflect the link status of one of the switch ports. If you copied the interface setup an existing one the new VLAN50 interface may still be reflecting the state of Eth2 which would then present as you describe. If so change that to port 8 or remove that setting so it always shows as linked.

@stephenw10 Thank you for the response. I actually had this set fror port 8. I changed to none and retested. Same thing. I noticed that port 2 is set to none. I went through the configuration in the documentation and didn't copy anything over.

Hmm, what's shown in the logs when you connect/disconnect the ports?
