      Hello,

I am trying to add a PCI NIC to my 7100-1U appliance. I have tried the following NICs

      • Dell DP/N 0YGCV4 - Broadcom 5719
      • Dell DP/N 00nwk2 - Intel Ethernet I350
      • Silicom Ltd PE2G4BPI35LA
      • Silicom Ltd PE2G2BPI80

When trying with the Dell NICs, the 7100 will not post at boot. The fans will spin up to full, but nothing is output via the USB console. If I install either of the Silicom cards in the device, it will boot as normal and detect the ports.

The 7100 has been upgraded to the latest firmware - 01.00.00.20.
The Dell Intel NIC was removed from a server a few days ago, it was functioning at the time of removal. I've tried two (2) of the Dell Broadcom NICs, no luck with either. I've tried all the NICs in two (2) separate 7100 appliances with only the Silicom NICs allowing the device to boot.

      Has anyone experienced this problem?

      Thanks,
      Mike

Hmm, the i350 NIC is kinda surprising but there are a number of NICs that present like that. The only NICs we can ensure will work are those we sell. So if you need 4 1G ports the AOC-SGP-i4 does work.
