I'll give the symptoms and then get into the history a bit.

I have Comcast, using xFi modem in bridge mode. WAN set to IPv4 DHCP, IPv6 DHCP. LAN set to IPv6 track interface set to WAN.
Sometimes it comes up, and works fine. Often for days. Then IPv6 just stops. The delegation block is still on LAN. I can ping the router on its IPv6 address, but traceroutes out just stop there.
Now the strange bit, if I go into LAN settings, don't change anything and hit "Save" and "Apply" IPv6 works for 3 seconds. Literally 3 seconds. If I keep doing that, sometimes it eventually stays and continues to work for some time. This makes me think some sort of race condition between some components.

I had this problem on CE 2.7.0. I blamed questionable hardware. So I purchased a Netgate 6100 running the latest pfSense Plus (23.05.1). Same problem. I even tried kicking it up to the nightly build branch and same problem.
Right now, I am running with my backup router which is a Netgate 2100 running 22.05. It is solid and no trouble, although doesn't do the wire speed I'm paying Comcast for.

I occurred to me that I might have some weird config since I was importing config from a chain of older routers so who knows what might have been lurking in that XML.

So I did a factory reset on the 6100 and only set the needed things. Same problem.

At this point, if someone had a procedure to downgrade the 6100 to 22.5, I would absolutely do that right now.
