AutoConfigurationBackup Host

Hi everyone,

we have an interesting issue on one of our Netgate 7100 boxes. The box is running 23.05.1-RELEASE (amd64).

We caught the following error messages in the logs:

Oct 10 11:57:48	filterdns	61687	failed to resolve host abc.netgate.com will retry later again.
Oct 10 11:52:48	filterdns	61687	failed to resolve host abc.netgate.com will retry later again.

We then noticed that the AutoConfigBackup service is not working properly anymore. Interesting enough is that the hostname is NOT acb.netgate.com but abc.netgate.com. Is there any configuration parameter which we accidentally might have touched? Has anyone else seen this before?

Hmm, do you have any aliases for that or similar?

I would open the config file directly and just search it for that hostname.

First of all thank you for your reply @stephenw10 !
Ok - this was an odd one. We had a firewall alias for testing purposes to block updates to the ACB service. And yes - there way a typo ;-)
