While setting up the pfsense for the first time on the SG1100, but without it being plugged into a WAN since this is a pre configuration before i take it to the cage… so basically after adding the static WAN, i also changed the LAN subnet to 192.168.50.1 and once it reloaded, I cannot get the webui on the new LAN , any help?

Try to clear the browser cache.

Use the same schema (http / https) and port as before, but with the new LAN IP.

Thanks, i did that even on incognito and still no luck, i even tried with default 192.168.1.1. to the main page, then went in and changed the LAN there and 30seconds after hitting apply, access is lost the same way.

Did you also set the correct network mask and then move the client over to the new network?

The network mask remains the same ../24. I tried the new lan on https and http and nothing still. Im not sure what you mean by move client over to the network.. all i see is that my pc is assigned 192.168.1.100 and mask of /24 but the gateway is an ipv6 address

If you change the LAN IP on pfSense to 192.168.50.1/24, then you also need to change the IP of your client IP to one of the 192.168.50.0/24 range to get access again.

So which is the DHCP server?
If you have configured the server on pfSense and change the LAN subnet, the dhcp range might not change automatically, I guess.

And if after you had changed the dhcp server range, you have to release the and renew the IP on the client, before you can access the new subnet.

Ok, using pfsense as the dhcp too … please let me know if these steps are the right ones.. reset to default, access pfsense on pc on 192.168.1.1, add wan values, make lan .50.1 /24 and save. Once its back up, will flush dns on pc and try pfsense on .50.1 on incognito
