New Feature Request

I'm sure this has been asked ad infinitum...can we get some APIs at the vary least for read-only status readouts to a specified subnet? I'd like to be able to monitor gateway, vpn connections, firewall alerts, and other statuses without having to log in to the web GUI or parse log files. Regardless of my request...thank you pfsense teams for your work!
