      Hello,

I conducted the basic configuration setup wizard and it proceeded to step 9. It attempted to reboot, however, it never appeared to reboot. I waited about 30 mins and tried refreshing the page, and now I cannot access the netgate at 192.168.1.1. I've tried resetting it using the reset button, however, it does nothing. I've powered it down a few times, removed power, then turned it back on. Still nothing. Is there a way to reset this other than the console, as I cannot connect that way either?

Is there a way to try and boot from a USB containing software of an older version? I appreciate any help and would like to thank you in advance!

@LMorefield I don't remember what step 9 is...? If you changed the LAN IP you would need to change the IP on your computer to match.

The console will show any error messages during boot:

You can request a pfSense installer (I assume any version) from Netgate for free:
        https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/solutions/xg-7100-1u/reinstall-pfsense.html

The reset button just forces a hardware boot.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

@LMorefield You may need to resolve the console problem. That is the only way to see what has went wrong and I think the only way to re-install from USB. The console cable is simply a Mini-USB cable. It is not a serial cable, the serial to USB HW is in the 7100.

Mmm, most likely scenario here is that the LAN subnet changed and you need to reconnect the client so it pulls a new lease in the new subnet.
