Remote Access with Mediator
-
Is there a 3rd party service or a way to configure pfsense that it can be remotely accessed like there's a relay server in between (like TeamViewer)? I have triple-WAN setup but they are all behind modems in router mode and cannot setup port forwarding. Not only that, as a regular subscriber, I cannot configure the modem as I have read-only access and admin access to configure it is for engineers only. Bribing the engineer will give me an admin access to the ISP modems in router mode BUT they are constantly flashing or replacing the modem when there are ISP optimization schedules.
Thanks!

@floydque Hello. When you get a static IP from your ISP, don't they allow port forwarding? Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any 3rd party software that works like this.

@greenlight I can get static IP at extra cost per month BUT still I don’t get port forwarding features. LOL what a joke
so for now I use teamviewer to connect to my house PC and configure pfsense from there.

You could setup a VPN to something that is publically available like a VPC instance somewhere. Then you could connect in across that tunnel from there.

@stephenw10 Thank you for the idea but that would add another point of maintenance for me (the vpc instance). Anyway thanks all for the suggestions and inputs. TL;DR: Not yet available.
Wishlist: pfsense would implement a cloud config service like Ubiquity’s UniFi Cloud Controller.

Yup that's true. But it would also be way more flexible....
