      pfsense v2.7.0 ran perfect.. had it since release, never any problems..

      tried updating to 2.7.1, nothing but problems.. says it's on 2.7.1 but the dashboard says 2.7. tried updating packages and it blew up.

      gparted the drive and performed a fresh install of 2.7.1.. had to manually enter a dns address, as the one from my isp wouldn't resolve.

      when i go to the package manager it claims "unable to retrieve package information"

        @jc1976 I have had similar issues, along with crashes. I am also hoping there is a fix/way to undo the broken-ness of whatever is happening

          @codym

          netgate needs to leave up a couple of versions so when situations like this occur we can go back and download the other version that worked.. never had any problems with 2.7. i'd like to get back to it but i'm screwed because the only version i see online is 2.72

            Versions back to 2.6 are available at the downloads page: https://atxfiles.netgate.com/mirror/downloads/

            The long standing issue with installing incorrect packages should be resolved from 2.7.1/23.09. Going forward the selected repo branch will not be switched when new versions are available.
