Hardware compatibility for Asrock Nuck
-
Hello,
I'm a newbie and i'm searching a mini-pc to build my first pfSense hardware setup.
actually i've find a ASRock NUC Mini Pc BOX-1240P i5 1240P 2x 2.5 G RJ45 LAN AX211 WIFIspecifying i'm not intersted in built-in wifi, probably i will use an AP or like this via Ethernet port.
Actually i've found this
https://download.asrock.com/IPC/Download/e-catalog/NUC%20BOX-1240P.pdf
i see this device have 2x2.5gb:- LAN1: Intel I225LM with 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps, supports vPro
- LAN2: Intel I225LM/I225V with 10/100/1000/2500 Mbpps
are these intel ethernet compatible with pfsense?
because i've see this two posts:
https://forum.netgate.com/topic/159994/intel-ethernet-controller-i225-lm-support
https://forum.netgate.com/topic/159994/intel-ethernet-controller-i225-lm-support/38i don't have understand much, but seems that this network cards have some trouble on DHCP (?)
so, this device is ok to use with pfsense? i need to use it with proxmox (to run pfsense and more) connect to LAN1 the FTTH ONT and LAN2 connect a switch unmanaged to connect devices like ap, computers etc..
thx in advice.

In general those NICs are compatible. If you're running Proxmox though it has to be compatible there.
