      I have a GPS NTP server that has been working with pfSense for a long time and still works with other devices.
      I updated to 2.7.2 tonight on several units and now NTP will not go past '.INIT.' on the status page and does not synchronize with the NTP server. I've done packet captures and see the traffic going to and coming back from the NTP server from the pfSense console. If I change the settings to use the us.pool.ntp.org, it works fine, but then I'm not using my local stratum 1 ntp.

      Anyone else experiencing this? I can confirm the issue on over 20 pfSense units after upgrading to 2.7.2.

        @LakeTravisBum
        check if you have this section on your ntp.conf

        ###Local users may interrogate the ntp server more closely.
        restrict 127.0.0.1
        restrict -6 ::1
        restrict ip-of-pfsense

          @LakeTravisBum I run my own ntp server as well. I just pointed my 2.7.2 vm to it and no issues

          What was in the return via your packet capture?

          So changed it to point to my ntp IP, reach started counting right away, and few minutes later at 377

          Can you post your packet capture info - you can see here the client and the answer back from the server
