Switch to Kea DHCP not revert-able, broken ISC DHCP
-
Hi, with release 2.7.2 I switched to KEA DHCP reading that reverting back would be simple. Unfortunately KEA seems to have killed my simple DHCP config with one pool and some static IP assignment outside the pool. Though the fixed IP entries are shown in the lease status in general, they still show "n/a" as start and end after 24h or even restart of the client. Any hint how to fix this?

Fix what? A static/reservation would show na, this is how they have always been shown. Because they don't really have a lease time.. That client would always have that IP.. Even though the client itself would have a lease time.. Of what you have set for the pool, or that specific reservation.
Here I just changed that lease time to 4 days.. Released and renewed on the client and you can see got the new lease time.. But yeah the lease table still shows na.. That is normal for reservations.

@johnpoz : I'm embarrassed and you are right. In my stress of some malfunctioning systems with KEA not starting up and me fixing it, I overlooked the change in the GUI as it seems. Previously there were active/inactive leases shown on the right side, which now got moved to the arrow icon on the left side. I thought the new GUI was tight to KEA, but as it seems also applies to ISC. As said, in my emotional stress I was just confused by the new layout. Sorry.
