Recently purchased a 4100 and was updating it and after reboot will not come online. I get "Config.xml is corrupted and is 0 bytes. Could not restore a previous backup." at console. I do not have a backup config and resetting to factory defaults does not work. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

        did you try fsck ?
        https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/troubleshooting/filesystem-check.html
        check the content of
        /cf/conf/backup
open a ticket at https://www.netgate.com/support/contact-support and ask for the upgraded software, usually provided in a few minutes / reinstall the system from the provided software

@kiokoman thanks for the tip. Unfortunately fsck did not work. I will open a ticket. Thanks again and Happy New Year!
