Check for an entry under the SERVICES menu in pfSense. Packages usually integrate themselves into the pfSense menu structure. Some will install themselves as a entry under SYSTEM while others may show up under SERVICES.

@bmeeks not sure I can follow what you mean. There is an entry under services section for zabbix agent 6 and its enabled and configured.

I don't use that package, so I can't provide more details about what should be showing.

As I understand it, the package on pfSense is simply a Zabbix agent which gathers data about the parameters you configure under the SERVICES > ZABBIX AGENT menu, then sends that data to a separate server someplace else (meaning the server is not installed on pfSense). Here is an older "how-to" I found via a quick Google search: https://www.ceos3c.com/pfsense/monitor-pfsense-2-4-zabbix/. So, the model as I understand it, is that agents are installed on various hosts to collect stats (pfSense can be one of those hosts). The data collected by the agents is then sent by each agent to a dedicated Zabbix server somewhere on the network. If you do not already have such a server configured, you would need to stand one up.

@drivth @bmeeks Is correct. It’s just a Zabbix agent - it has no web service. You can configure the agent in the pfSense UI under services - but it’s just a data gatherer and it needs to ship its data to a Zabbix Server somewhere on the network.

Love the no fuss of using the official appliances :-)

@keyser i think i understood this in the first place, the thing is that from all the videos and the guides that i watched and tried i cant semm to understand where to import the pf sense host to send the data.
