Assigning an IP for Openvpn isn't working.
-
Hello, I hope everyone's having a good day! I'm new to Pfsense and networking, so please bear with me...
This is what my current setup looks like: Alt Text
I'd like to assign the IP address 192.168.1.121 to the second router, which will always have an active VPN connection. I've set up the VPN connection, and it's working properly. 8f9b98dd-85ee-425b-8c9b-bed353ed48ca-image.png
I tried routing the VPN traffic to the IP, but it didn't work bc921222-fa80-49a7-a7ce-5e4d3f9adf78-image.png
And this is what the outbound mappings look like: e5975741-e2a6-4238-ba66-874fe9c9dafa-image.png

LAN rules work too down they look for the first match they see and that’s it, your lan rule has an any any before your other rule. You should NAT traffic make it more granular.
Source its destination and where it’s going, your outbound rules are just standard auto generated rules, are your routers both on the same location or separated geographically?

@JonathanLee Thank you so much!!! I changed the order in the Rules -> Lan and it fixed the issue immediately.
When you say, "same location" as in beside each other? because they're not however they're close to each other, I mean in the same location just not beside each other. -
@mayonnaise Yeah!! Good Luck, the reason I asked about separation is to see if this was separated over ISP or just local network
