    Good afternoon,

On our PFsense Firewall (Netgate 2100) version 22.05-RELEASE (ARM64) we keep experiencing problems with the DHCP server.
Every week I have to restart the DHCP service otherwise it no longer distributes IP addresses.

In the logging I cannot find any crash or the like.

Where can I start looking to troubleshoot this further?

    Kind regards,

@datawolk first thing I would suggest is upgrade to current, 22.05 is quite old.. current is 23.09.1

        Hi @johnpoz
Updating to branch 23 is not possible with our Netgate 2100.
We have to perform a full format.
Is there any possibility to troubleshoot in branch 22 for this issue?

I had a DHCP problem several years back. My solution was to make a full config backup, restore to factory settings, then to restore the config without DHCP. Then reconfigure DHCP by hand. It is a long shot and there is danger, but it worked for me.

Best guess is there was a bad value in the config, but I lacked the knowledge to hunt it down, so I started over.

Thank you for the feedback! If we don't find another solution, we can indeed try this. Let's also include branch 23 directly in that case.
