      I have several Netgate 1537 firewalls and one of them is showing smart errors on the m.2 that is installed.
      I was thinking of changing this to a RAID mirror in order to replace the failing ssd but I see that the hardware supports only 1 m.2
      I can install 2 sata SSD's in the machine easily, is there a procedure for converting from m.2 storage to a raided SSD setup?

        You can reinstall to the SSD pair as a ZFS mirror and restore the config. It should be pretty straight forward.

          @stephenw10
          I was a bit hurried on this task to get the unit back running. I wasn't able to get the SSD's I had installed to be recognized by the BIOS on the unit and instead replaced the m.2 and did a factory restore.
          When I can get a unit out of production and have a chance to spend some time testing I will revisit this.

          You guys have everything packed very tightly in there.

            The SSDs are usually mounted in brackets. The power and SATA cables can be a bit tight if the riser card is present.
