      Hello

TL/DR: Is a 2x2.5Gbps port Celeron N2830 based mini PC with 8Gb RAM and 128Gb SSD enough for a pfsense router/firewall for a 1.5-2Gbps home Internet fiber connection for NAT, wireguard VPN (occasional traffic) and VLAN (guest wifi and a few iot devices)?

I'm getting fiber to the home (between 1.5 to 2Gbps) and am using the opportunity to revamp my network (currently only using the ISP box router).
For the firewall, I found an affordable mini PC with 2 2.5Gbps ports equipped with a Intel Celeron N2830 CPU. The chip is now about 10 years old but I'm wondering if it's enough to drive 2Gbps with NAT.
There will be VLAN for guest WiFi and a handful of iot devices and a wireguard VPN for me and the wife to access services (mainly Plex music) when away from home.

      Thanks for reading

Yes, that's a 10 year old CPU. I would look at something newer if you;re buying a new device.

I'd guess, because I've not tested that personally, that it wouldn't pass 2.5G in pfSense. It might do 2G but there wouldn't be much overhead.
