I have a configuration with a Netgate 6100 in which LAN4 is connected to a Comcast XB8 gateway in bridge mode and LAN3 is connected to a Verizon LV65 5G modem. LAN1 is the, well, LAN.

As both WAN connections only offer dynamic prefixes, I know I can't do conventional multi-WAN. However, I've seen suggested that I can have LAN1 ordinarily track the cable internet prefix and then do ugly NAT for when failover is required. As I just care about failover, this seems fine to me.

Unfortunately, when I enable IPv6 on LAN3, LAN1 ceases to distribute LAN4's IPv6 prefix. Everything routes normally through IPv4 but I'd like IPv6 functionality to remain in failover, especially as Unbound will continue to serve AAAA records.

      Could I get some help?

I seem to have managed to get this to work by going into "Advanced DHCP6 Client Configuration" and setting the "Prefix Interface" to an enabled but otherwise inoperative "LAN2"
